January 30, 2019 DSA Reflections, feelings, healthy, Inspiration, mental, Patreon, personal, positivity, reflection, self-talk Getting Enough Sleep Each Night is Important to Me In a previous Reflection, we affirmed that Falling Asleep is easy – today’s Reflection builds on that by affirming how important getting enough sleep each night is in making daily progress toward our goals and desires. Enjoy! Sleep Helps Determine My Progress How I look, feel and function each day determines how my daily life progresses and how much progress I make toward my goals each day. My appearance, energy level and ability to do my tasks are directly related to the quantity of sleep I get. For these reasons, sleeping the right amount for me each night is important. Achieving a good night of restful sleep rejuvenates me. After Sleeping Well, I Go Forward As I start my day, I can go forward with interest and an open heart. Getting enough sleep just makes everything seem better. Even when I feel weary at the end of a hard day, I am heartened in the knowledge that after sleeping, I can awake the next morning refreshed and ready to embrace life. Because I recognize the impact that having enough sleep has on my life, I plan my activities carefully. I ensure that my schedule leaves room my much-needed sleep. I know my priorities. Getting an amount of sleep that is right for me is at the top of my list. Strong Resolve==> Focused Intent Today, I choose to strengthen my resolve to get seven or eight hours of sleep each night. Sticking to my sleep schedule aids me in living the life that I desire, full of activity and interaction. Well-rested, I go into my day with a sharp mind and a well-functioning body. Self-Reflection Questions: 1. Do I pay attention to how much sleep I get? If not, why not? 2. Am I careful about how I plan evening activities so I can respect my sleep schedule? 3.
